Chrome Support for Silverlight and Java

Chrome version 42 disables support for the Netscape Plug-in API (NPAPI) since it has become a leading cause of hangs, crashes, and security incidents, among other issues.

This means if you are running Classic in Chrome, you will not be able to see the Publishing Monitor. Instead of the Silverlight enabled publishing monitor, you will see publishing information in a Javascript popup window.

Furthermore, you may have issues if you are using our Java based editor Ephox EditLive.  If you wish to continue using Chrome, we recommend switching your WYSIWYG Editor to TinyMCE from the user preferences tab. You may use IE without making any changes.  Additionally, you cannot install Volte via the Chrome browser, on the PC you should use IE and Safari on the MAC.
