Movin’ On Up: Proud to Be in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management (Again)
We’re a little over halfway into 2018, and based on the newly released Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management, we think it’s clear we’ve hit our stride. In this year’s report, we’ve been named a Visionary again, but what we’re most excited about is the extent to which we’ve climbed in just one year. We’re now knocking on the door of the Leader quadrant.
There are many reasons we believe we’ve moved significantly, and they’re the result of a multitude of factors. Gartner is pretty strict about what we can and can’t say, but we can offer some insights into why we believe that we made such a leap.
Let’s take a moment to look at what’s happened at Crownpeak in the last year, combined with the strengths that have shaped who we’ve become over the past decade.
Last year, we acquired Evidon, the leading governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) solution provider in the software space, which gave us the industry’s leading privacy compliance solution. This strategic move positions us as the only company to offer a web content management solution that empowers brands to not only do great but also be good.
In an era of mounting privacy concerns and emerging laws, delivering digital experiences now requires being fast, relevant, and mindful. That means being transparent about how you’re collecting and handling the data of your prospects and customers. Building trust is a critical element of gaining and retaining customers. Gartner themselves say that companies that prioritize customer trust can expect to attract and retain 40% more customers than those who don’t. And our platform offers not just the ability to rapidly create and deploy experiences across digital touchpoints, but also the tools to make sure that they’re compliant with laws that protect individuals, like the GDPR.
Another factor that we believe has contributed to our improved position is what we’ve long been known for – we’re one of only a handful (if that) of enterprise SaaS web content management platforms. The very real payoff for our customers is that they’re always on the latest version of our software. There are no IT or development resources required, which keeps costs predictable, because upgrades are transparent and immediate.
And finally – we’re going to boast a little here – we’ve got a tremendous support and professional services team that truly understands the business needs of our customers.
