Sustaining the growth that has powered the company since its founding in 2001, CrownPeak, the company defining the future of Software as a Service (SaaS) Web Content Management (WCM), is proud to announce that 2010 was another record year of success.

Now celebrating its tenth year in business, CrownPeak has posted a 58 percent compound annual growth rate since its founding. This robust growth pattern continued in 2010 with record recurring revenue indicating accelerated progress year over year. Likewise, the number and relative size of customers grew exponentially in 2010. The average size of customers, both from project scope and relative company size, more than doubled over the course of last year, illustrating the growth of SaaS Web CMS in the enterprise.

“CrownPeak continues to prove that not only is the software service model viable, it’s superior,” said Jim Howard, CEO of CrownPeak. “By providing customers feature-rich, scalable and flexible software platforms with highly predictable costs, and ongoing support services, CrownPeak is changing the way that enterprises think about their Web content platforms.”

In 2010, CrownPeak also continued to drive innovation in the WCM space, by adding a range of new product features into the Web Content Management suite. CrownPeak’s Web Content Optimizer now completes the digital marketing process by giving marketing teams the ability to not only create and manage content, but to glean insight with actionable analytics and automatically optimize that content for success.

CrownPeak’s client roster grew substantially in 2010 with large enterprises leading the way. Global brands, such as Skype, Kaiser Permanente, Nissan UK, Earthlink, MetLife, ACE Group, and EMI Music Publishing, all chose CrownPeak to drive their global web content and marketing management solutions.

As CrownPeak client Keith Cook, Vice President and Global eBusiness Officer of ACE Group, said at this year's Gilbane Conference on Content Management, "There's no doubt that SaaS WCM is delivering significant value for our marketing technology investment. We must move quickly and efficiently. And to facilitate that, it was necessary for us to move beyond packaged Enterprise Content Management software, for reasons of cost, efficient deployment, and lower risk."

Moving into 2011, CrownPeak continues to innovate and invest in new technologies to drive success for clients. CrownPeak’s commitment to “zero-learning-curve” for users is resulting in new user interface designs to be rolled out this year, along with new services so that CrownPeak client web marketing teams can continue to operate 24/7/365.

Additionally, CrownPeak commitment to interoperability through data standards like SOAP/XML and REST/oData mean that the CrownPeak platform will continue to work together with other enterprise tools now and into the future. CrownPeak is quite simply the most interoperable WCM platform on the market today.

“We look forward to an extraordinary 2011”, continued Howard. “Clearly enterprise customers understand the value to be had in switching from a legacy on-premise approach. We’re investing heavily in both our product and our clients – to make sure we remain the leader in Web Content Management Software as a Service.”
