Marina Del Rey, CA (April 14, 2003) —
Bucking both the poor economy and overall uncertainty driven by the conflict in Iraq, CrownPeak Technology, the leader in hosted content management systems, announced today that the company ended the first quarter of 2003 in record fashion.
CrownPeak closed 12 new client relationships, along with a number of new projects for existing clients. Among the company's newest customers: two major financial services firms, a division of a Fortune 100 manufacturing concern, an international consumer-brand manufacturing company, a prominent federal government agency, an international non-profit firm, an analyst firm, and a high-profile educational institution. In a demonstration of the speed with which CrownPeak's Advantage CMS system can be deployed, seven of these projects are already online.
The projects themselves cover the full scope of the company's capabilities, from 40 individual client extranets for a financial services firm and an intranet for an international non-profit, to a complete content infrastructure -- collaboration, document management, and public/subscriber sites -- for a specialty analyst firm. Augmenting CrownPeak's Web Services program are new projects using AdvantageMail, to provide email and user management services, AdvantageSearch, and other connections to provide such services as polling and surveys, user tracking, and XML syndication.
Having delivered more than 300 percent growth during each of the past two years, CrownPeak is above target to meet that goal for the third consecutive year.
"Given the conditions in the economy generally and in the IT sector specifically, we are especially pleased at our progress across multiple industry segments over this past quarter," said Jim Howard, CEO, CrownPeak. "CrownPeak is part of a fundamental, ongoing transformation in the way software is delivered: Software as Service. At the same time, we're transforming major elements of the content management software market, including price-to-feature expectations, customization levels, and implementation speed. We are gratified that the market recognizes that our business model is delivering tangible benefits to companies traditionally served by enterprise software providers."
Complementing the engagements from new customers, CrownPeak continues to add new projects from existing customers. "This kind of growth is a natural result of our embrace of the Software-as-Service model," Howard said. "It's a tribute to the cost-effectiveness and usability of our system, and an affirmation that we continue to provide great value to the marketplace."
