CrownPeak CMS includes a
full-featured Asset Management system. Any media type can be uploaded or linked
across multiple servers. Assets can
be managed in the system and/or published out as directories, sections of
intranets, or stand-alone web sites.
Files can be a given a full document lifecycle, including check-in,
check-out, versioning, rollback, approvals, and scheduling.
Images can
be automatically changed to thumbnails or scaled for use in a site.
The CrownPeak CMS system will automatically label each item making it a
simple task to catalog and locate exactly what you want when you want it.
Additional meta-information can also be added to help further catalog the
files. Check-in/Check-out
assets From the web interface, file assets can be
downloaded, edited, and then uploaded again.
Asset permissions
set at user and asset level CrownPeak CMS has a fine
granularity of access permissions - down to the file level.
Assets can be
subjected to full workflow In addition to database backed
templated assets, file assets can also have workflow applied so that images,
PDF files, miscellaneous HTML files etc. can be scheduled and approved right
alongside the other site content.
File/Folder -
upload, download, delete, rename, cut, paste, etc. All of the basic asset file
management capabilities are available in the system.
Asset management
supports remote FTP repositories By establishing several different
FTP mount points in the CMS folder, a Virtual File System is created, allowing
files to be moved between servers by using the CMS interface only.
Information can be added to any
asset Configurable meta-information is
maintained on all assets. This is particularly powerful for file assets on
a remote ftp server. The files reside on the server, but the CMS database
maintains all of the meta-information and auditing information for the
assets. FTP access for your web developers can be turned off, and the
developers can use the CMS, allowing for all of the workflow and auditing
features.
Image
Management Embed images in pages, manage directories of images, resize images, and manage image/template relationships. CrownPeak's embedded image management features make managing large directories of images a snap. Workflow and meta data capabilities, as well as collaboration and versioning are all standard features. Whether a stand-alone image management system or a brand-asset management function within an intranet, CrownPeak can accomplish complex requirements simply and easily.
