CROWNPEAK TECHNOLOGY EXPANDS EMAIL CAPABILITIES WITH INTRODUCTION
OF AdvantageMAIL™
Partnership with EmailLabs Gives CrownPeak's Advantage CMS™ Complete Email
Campaign Solution.MARINA DEL REY, Calif. (March 4, 2003) -- In an effort to extend the reach of
its market-leading hosted content management system, CrownPeak Technology today
unveiled AdvantageMail™, a complete email campaign solution that provides
customers with interface components for rich media email creation, publishing,
and management, all incorporated into CrownPeak's Advantage CMS™.
The
AdvantageMail system draws on a partnership with EmailLabs, Redwood City,
Calif., a leading provider of advanced email marketing technology
solutions. Like CrownPeak, EmailLabs follows the Software-as-Service (SaS)
model. Its hosted technology is actively used by more than 250 companies,
and has won accolades for its feature set, usability, unrivaled tracking options
and secure/reliable infrastructure.
CrownPeak's AdvantageMail system enables
customers to fully integrate Website workflow with both email and site content,
which leads to a wealth of possibilities for businesses to streamline the online
office. Among the system's highlights: Advantage CMS customers can easily
create, design, and publish an email to their subscription database, or a
segment thereof. Simultaneously, the system can automatically update the
site, create a customized landing page or even automatically create an updated
archive of the newsletter listing.
The synthesis of the two companies'
respective technologies gives CrownPeak customers the ability to completely
manage their email campaigns from the Advantage CMS interface. Users can
run their rich-media email through workflow like any other document. When
ready to publish, the system automatically feeds the HTML, text and AOL-friendly
versions directly into an EmailLabs system for distribution and tracking.
The entire process is as smooth and easy to use as the basic Advantage CMS
interface.
In CrownPeak, EmailLabs recognized a partner with a strong
entrepreneurial spirit and an award-winning product. "The Advantage CMS
user interface is so easy for non-technical business users, and the power of the
AdvantageMail platform makes this combination incredibly valuable for
customers," said Dave Sousa, CEO, EmailLabs. "Our partnership provides for
a truly seamless solution that enables marketers to easily control how they
integrate Web site content with their marketing email content.."
According to
Jim Howard, CrownPeak CEO, incorporating an email campaign system was the
inevitable next step in the evolution of Advantage CMS, which continues to
transform the work of website content management. "EmailLabs is simply the
best-in-class solution for email campaign management," Howard said. "This
is truly recognizing the promise of Web Services. EmailLabs provides such
a wide array of features with proven reliability for tight integration for our
customers, and it stays true to our philosophy of providing best-in-class
solutions."
AdvantageMail is already being deployed by Mantas (www.mantas.com), a financial services software
company, which has been an Advantage CMS user for some time. The new email
system enables Mantas to keep its newsletter subscribers up to date in a
strategic manner. Mantas can now create email newsletters directly within
the content management system; the organization is embedding dynamic fields in
its emails within the CMS, so emails can be thoroughly personalized. As
each newsletter is created, it is published out as email and HTML, directly into
the Web site. Further extending the capabilities of Advantage CMS, the
email campaign system also offers an integrated user management
capability. Customers can manage their demographics and user lists from
their Web sites. This enables users to sign up for newsletters directly
from the Web site and update their accounts transparently.
In
addition to Mantas, CrownPeak has enabled AdvantageMail for the Digital
Government Institute (www.digitalgovernment.com),
providing the capability to manage its large subscriber list as well as its
newsletter content and Web sites, all in one interface. CrownPeak is also
in the process of implementing AdvantageMail for a major federal government
agency, as part of a complete content management solution.
The AdvantageMail
system produces real-time reports on email publishing, auditing and other
workflow related indicators. Through the partnership with EmailLabs, users
can now also generate reports on user activity, bounces, unsubscribes and reply
handling.
For those enterprises interested in commercial email campaigns,
AdvantageMail also provides slotting interfaces. Commercial campaigns can
generate reports based on demographics so that customers can obtain data on
which portions of their email lists have been fulfilled and how often.
This information is particularly useful to advertisers, and ensures that they
communicate at the optimum frequency to their email subscribers.
