Connector Gateway Tools
CrownPeak CMS can publish content out and accept content inbound using a number of communication protocols. CrownPeak's Connector Gateway Tools support a wide variety of content types for integration into complementary applications, portals or syndication sources. Connecting content sources is an essential element of managing content. To that end, CrownPeak's Connector Gateway Tools are a comprehensive set of protocol support and API functions that enable customers to capture, store, retrieve, assemble, transform and distribute content across a wide variety of formats. Output Content types supported as output from the CMS
can go beyond HTML. Basically, any ASCII file format is
supported, including HTML, XML, XSL, RSS, and Wireless Formats, as well as CSV, t
ab-delimited text, etc. Many Protocols
In addition to generating ASCII files in any format, the system can make data connections using most protocols. The following protocols are supported intrinsically: - SMTP (email)
- FTP (including SFTP)

SOAP (and other custom web services)

Inbound Content
In addition to all of the formats mentioned above, other unique methods can be used for inbound connection into the CMS. For example, the Connector Gateway can accept: - Email directly into the CMS, including MIME attachments such as images, which can be automatically resized/"thumbnailed" on import
- FTP/SFTP - The CMS can pull files from a server on a scheduled basis to retrieve content
- HTTP, SOAP, custom Web Services - the CMS can connect via SOAP or other Web Services for content made available on a scheduled basis
- Bulk upload methods - Zip/Unzip
