CrownPeak Launches URL Shortener to More Effectively Publish Web Content

CMS Offering Enables Marketers to Easily Integrate URLs into 

Social Networking Pages and Existing Analytics Solutions

Los Angeles, September 17, 2009 – CrownPeak, the market leader in Web content management for online marketing, today launched its CrownPeak URL Shortener. Designed specifically for digital agencies and online marketers utilizing the CrownPeak suite of content management tools, the CrownPeak URL Shortener (CPeak.us) enables users to more easily and efficiently publish Web content to a simple and customized URL, while still maximizing Web analytics solutions from a single management console.

With CrownPeak’s URL Shortener, authors and editors working within the CrownPeak CMS can have the CMS automatically generate a shortened URL (CPeak.us/), or manually create a customized URL.  This gives the online marketer the ability to place these shortened URLs into their social media and other Web content. 

Additional functionality of the CrownPeak URL Shortener includes:

• Web and social media content publishing: Because the CrownPeak CMS already automatically publishes content directly into the most popular social networks, marketers do not have to waste time creating a shortened URL through other Web service when creating new content.
• Web analytics integration: The solution unifies Web analytics for pages that may be available under both longer Web site related URLs as well as the shortened URLS, while providing a breakout of the traffic. The URL Shortener integrates with multiple analytics systems, including CrownPeak Analytics, WebTrends, Omniture’s Site Catalyst or others.
• URL illustrations: Once customers create shortened URLs for designated Web pages and documents, the CrownPeak CMS will illustrate a list of available content within CrownPeak CMS’ Social Networking Tools for easy access and dissemination (e.g. Twittering and other social media updates).
• Instant availability: Because the CrownPeak URL Shortener is part of their existing service, covered by the same service level agreement of the other CrownPeak services, clients don’t have to worry about whether the service will be available when needed.

As with all CrownPeak tools and Frameworks, the URL Shortener is offered to current clients as part of the CrownPeak Content Management service with no extra licensing fees.
